We want everyone to be able to plan and publish Pins with Burnpedia, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom, or a phone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we treat a barrier you run into as a bug.
What we do
- The sign-in, sign-up and contact forms give every field a visible label that a screen reader reads out.
- Text fields are at least 16 pixels on phones and tablets, so the page does not jump when you type.
- Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The dashboard has a dark mode, and we test its text contrast against the light one.
- Every public page is checked on phone, tablet and desktop sizes, and in real Safari on a Mac and an iPhone simulator, before a release goes live.
- Pages keep working when you zoom in, and nothing scrolls sideways on a phone.
What we know still falls short
- The Pin designer is a visual editor: you arrange pictures and text on a canvas, which needs sight. You can still schedule a Pin from your own image and words without it.
- Connecting a Pinterest account happens on Pinterest's own sign-in page, which we do not control.
- Some older blog images may have a description that says less than the picture does.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on burnpedia.app is hard or impossible for you to use, write to support@burnpedia.app or use our contact form. Tell us the page and what happened; a real person reads every message and replies, usually within one business day. If you need something from your account in another format, ask and we will help.
